Dr. Knapp realized that in these ever challenging reimbursement times, a
brace that could solve more than one bracing need would be a very helpful tool
in the practitioners armamentarium. Pre-operative / Post-operative and
mild to moderate functional bracing is the goal of the Knapp hinged knee brace.
This brace was designed to meet the ever changing needs of pre and post-op care
for the MCL/LCL and meniscal repairs, and might also be considered in it's
longer lengths as an adjunct to patella fracture and mild/moderate ACL and/or
PCL strains and sprains. Full hinge covers allow for full sport
participation.

R.O.M. (Range of Motion) Hinge offers flexion
stop placement in 0°,
10°, 30°,
50°, 70°,
90°, and 110°
settings, and extension stop placement also in 0°,
10°, 30°,
50°, 70°,
90°, and 110°
settings. This hinge will also allow you to set in
full extension. (It should be noted that due to
neoprene's four-way stretching character, care
should be taken to insure that the patient does not
drive through the pre-set stop.) |
